May 10, 2024 - Today State Senator Jamie Eldridge, Senate Chair of the Joint Committee on the Judiciary, is announcing his endorsement of Attorney Allison Cartwright for the Clerk of the Supreme Judicial Court in Suffolk County.
As the Senate Chair of the Joint Committee on Judiciary, I have the honor of working on critical judicial matters in courthouses across the Commonwealth that have a major impact on the lives of residents.” said Senator Eldridge. “That includes Suffolk County. That is why it's so important to elect Allison Cartwright as the next Clerk of the Supreme Judicial Court. Allison is professional, dedicated, and understands what’s at stake for defendants going through the court system, and shares the values that I have about making what is often a person's best and last chance to receive justice, even better. Allison has my full support for SJC Clerk."
“Jamie Eldridge is a devoted state senator and knows how important it is to have equity, transparency, and accessibility in our court system,” said Allison Cartwright. “Once elected, the Clerk of the Supreme Judicial Court in Suffolk County handles matters from all across Massachusetts, and Senator Eldridge knows our state’s court systems as well as anyone. Having served on the Restorative Justice Advisory Committee together, we share a commitment to advancing criminal justice reform in our courts and in our communities. It is an honor to have his endorsement.”
